Commuting advice for West Sussex motorists

West Sussex people are being shown how they can get fit, save cash '“up to £1,000 a year for motorists '“ and reduce their carbon footprint during TravelWise Week, which ends on Sunday (September 27).

The event is being backed by West Sussex County Council.

Cllr Derek Whittington, cabinet member for strategic planning and transport, said it aimed to raise awareness of the problems caused by increasing congestion and pollution, and how they could be reduced.

"It also highlights the problems caused by unnecessary car use and the benefits of using healthier and more sustainable modes of transport," he added.
