Ruan Soares, of Bursledon Close, Bognor Regis, also admitted a charge of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, after the crash on September 28, 2019, the CPS said. The 27-year-old appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court last Friday (February 12). After Soares pleaded guilty to both charges, the case was adjourned to a pre-sentencing report hearing at the crown court on March 26. Sussex Police said Soares was driving a white Seat Leon which collided with a tree on the A27 eastbound, between Fontwell and Tangmere, around 11.30pm. Following the crash in 2019, a police spokesperson said: "The driver and a passenger suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital. "A second passenger of the vehicle suffered critical injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."
