LEADING private schools in Mid Sussex have all made it into the Sunday Times top 500 schools list.

St Paul's Roman Catholic College in Burgess Hill, which teaches pupils up to the age of 18, also appears but other state secondary schools in the area teach pupils up to 16 years and do not make the criteria for the 500 list which looks at GCSE and A-level results. Burgess Hill School for Girls, a small selective school, appears in the top one hundred.
