The following are results contributed by HM Court Service, of cases sentenced by Sussex Northern magistrates sitting at Horsham and Crawley.

Hardip Bains, 48, of St Marys Drive, Crawley, was banned from driving for a year, with a £200 fine, a £20 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to three counts of driving with illegal levels of a controlled drug (cocaine, a cocaine metabolite, and a cannabis metabolite) in his blood, all in Brighton Road, Crawley.

Peter Balchin, 59, of Brown Close, Broadbridge Heath, was given a two week jail sentence, suspended for six months, with an £80 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to one count of theft from Morrisons in Crawley, and two counts of theft from Waitrose in Horsham, and admitted breaching a conditional discharge.

Roger Francis, 48, of Bridgeham Way, Smallfield, was fined £440, with a £44 victim services surcharge, £85 costs, and four penalty points added to his licence. He had been convicted in his absence of speeding in Fleming Way, Crawley.

Ryan Hatwell, 25, of Elm Road, Romford, was given a 14 week jail sentence, suspended for a year, with a £115 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to two counts of common assault at Gatwick.

Thomas Lancaster, 45, of Coulsdon Road,, Coulsdon, was given a two year conditional discharge, with a £15 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to harassing a woman in Crawley by visiting her house uninvited, and by phone calls, text messages and social media messages.
