Lease to be granted for site of proposed cafe on Shoreham Beach Green
The council entered into a preferred developer status with Boxpark in April 2017 for the redevelopment of the dilapidated toilet block on the green.
A new community cafe, which could also include a roof terrace, changing rooms, and a centre for watersports, was proposed.

A plan showing the land concerned is available for inspection at the Shoreham Centre.
Any objections or representations with respect to the proposed disposal must be made by 5pm on Thursday, September 27.
Councillor Joss Loader said it was important that the public notice was seen by as many residents as possible.

Ms Loader said she hoped Boxpark would consult fully with residents about what they plan for the site.
“The site is run down and many view it as an eyesore,” she said.
“However it’s in a residential area and the green is flanked by homes so people have very understandable concerns including evening trading hours and parking.”
