Man injures leg leaping from Worthing Pier
AN 18-year-old man broke his leg after jumping from Worthing Pier on Monday afternoon.
It is believed the man attempted to jump into the water near the Southern Pavilion at 5.45pm but misjudged the depth.
He was taken to Worthing Hospital by ambulance.
Graham Cherrett, senior foreshore inspector, said: “Pier jumping is a dangerous thing and should never be considered at any time.”
