Netherfield Mobile Library: The library is due again in Netherfield, outside the Village Stores on 23 February 2016, between 13.00 and 13.20. Now remember, you use it or lose it. Ella is there to help you choose if you have nothing in mind. Even for those who already enjoy the delights of taking out a book, sometimes it is nice to try something outside of your comfort zone. A thriller, a historical novel or a non-fictional account of a momentous moment from the past. There are books for everyone including the children. So when you see that big “beast” of a vehicle outside our village stores, pop in and have a chat with Ella who will be happy to talk and chat about the ease of joining. Then you make your choice and will be allowed to take the book home , if you are not already a member, or recommending a good read if you want to try something different.

Netherfield Village Stores: There is still a lot of work to do in the shop. A wall has to be removed and the Post Office part is being repositioned. All of this takes time, effort and a great deal of patience. However, at the end of it customers will know they have a cafe and store fit for the 21st century. A reliable source has indicated that the work could be finished by sometime in April. As work progresses and updates are available, this column will keep everyone informed of the progress being made.
