Let’s have a pool near the people
He simply sees the May, 2015, elections coming and is thinking of his (probably) older voters who live by the sea in his political area.
He is a district councillor who represents the district, including younger people like me (19) who, in ten or 20 years’ time want a pool to swim in, not a dilapidated one, if we have one left at all, should Dr Walsh get his way.

Hide AdAs a county councillor, too – one of his three hats – he should be doing all he can to try to get the new pool built either on the Cornfield site (owned by the county) or the Daisyfield site (owned by Arun), and not simply creating obstacles.
