Patients ‘put first’ in new health deal
Bupa CSH Ltd will provide the services from Worthing Hospital and St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester, and in the community from January 1, 2015.
Jo Pritchard, managing director of Central Surrey Health, said A&E services will not be affected by the contract.
“Trauma has nothing to do with us at all,” she said.

Hide AdMrs Pritchard said there would be ‘no change in the locations or clinicians’ in orthopaedics, but some staff will work for Bupa CSH Ltd.
Within the new system, GPs will refer patients to a central patient co-ordination centre. “There is nothing more infuriating for a patient than to tell their story more than once.
“It’s a really exciting new service. We are putting patients first. Change is difficult for people, because of ignorance.
“Some people take a little while to get on board.
“I was proud of the bid we put in. We are not the ogres we are portrayed as.”
