New data has revealed how many Covid-19 deaths there have been in Mid Sussex up to May 22.

The Office of National Statistics (ONS) said up until May 22 (including deaths registered up to May 30) 156 people have died in Mid Sussex with Covid-19.

They include deaths where there is any mention of Covid-19 on the death certificate.

Sixty-six people died in hospital, 88 in care homes, one at home and one in a hospice.

In the same period there were 762 deaths registered, according to the ONS.
