Young adults from Shoreham keep our seafront litter-free with beach clean
The beach clean event was organised by ESTEEM, a charity which gives young adults aged 14 to 26 opportunities to develop confidence, build life-skills and improve well-being.
Due to social distancing measures, there were limited spaces and in total nine young adults participated along with three members of staff.

Hide AdTammie Smith, Outdoor Wellbeing Activities Assistant, who organised the event, said: “Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and some people who were on the beach stopped and thanked us which was lovely.”
She had originally planned to hold a silent disco beach clean, but was unable to source suitable equipment due to the pandemic.
Tammie thanked the Friends of Shoreham Beach, which lent their beaching cleaning equipment to the charity, and whose spokesman said: “Huge thanks to the Esteem super team who conducted our first social distanced beach clean in and around the beach huts on Beach Green.
“Lots of small litter removed by some committed young adults. Bravo!”
