WALES LIGHTNING STRIKE: Teacher at Horsham school died in Brecon Beacons incident

One other person, a man from Shropshire, died in another lightning strike in the national park, while two others were treated for injuries.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police told the County Times the identity of the teacher, who was airlifted to hospital, would not be announced at this stage at the family’s request, although he has been named locally.

Hide AdThe Forest School and its governors said yesterday they would not be issuing a tribute or any details out of respect to the family.
As a result the County Times is not publishing the teacher’s name at this time.
Pupils at the Comptons Lane secondary school have paid tribute to the teacher on social media.
This week the second victim was identified as Jeremy Prescott, 51, from Telford, Shropshire. He was flown to the Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr with life-threatening injuries, but died in hospital.
