Police were called to a property in Ringmer Road, West Tarring, Worthing, shortly after 8.20pm after reports of a disturbance at the home. Officers went in and found a 40-year-old woman semi-conscious with serious head and facial injuries. A 28-year-old man and a 55-year-old man also present were both arrested on suspicion of assault. The injured woman was taken by ambulance to Worthing Hospital. Police are now investigating and have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries. Detective Sergeant Simon Dunn, of Worthing CID, said: “We’re keen to establish exactly what happened. “Anyone who saw or heard anything, or who may have other information, is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 1451 of 28/5. “Alternatively they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers without having to leave their name on 0800 555 111.”
