Two second half goals from Emmanuel Okunja gave the Westies a 2-1 victory at Ferring in Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division Two on Saturday.
Stapley said: “It was a brilliant result and it was our best performance of the season for the whole 90 minutes without a doubt. We worked hard and it was a lot more comfortable than the score suggests.”

In the second half, Westfield - who fielded just one player over the age of 25 - drew first blood when Okunja swept the ball home at the end of a well-worked move down the right.
The same player doubled Westfield’s advantage with a superb goal. New signing Jordan Harris played the ball in to Okunja, who beat two defenders and struck the ball home from 20 yards for his fourth goal in two games.
Ferring pulled one back from probably Westfield’s only defensive lapse of the afternoon, but a third Westfield goal looked more likely than a Ferring equaliser in the closing stages.
