Mushy spins his magic
THE TWENTY/20 cricket season got underway for Sussex on Tuesday night and a large Arundel Castle crowd was there to see them defeat Hampshire by four wickets.
Sussex captain Chris Adams won the toss and stuck Hampshire into bat and they scored 152-6 from their 20 overs. Sussex Pakistani leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed caused Hampshire's batsmen all kinds of problems and took 4-30 from his four overs.
He had been on a hat-trick after dismissing Michael Carberry and Dimitri Mascarenhas with successive deleveries. Greg Lamb, with 55 from 35 balls, top-scored for the visitors.
