Having always sung in her native country, Flossie began performing regularly in her local folk clubs, and such was her popularity that since that time she has released no less than five albums.
Flossie is highly respected by many of the folk scene's biggest names, moving Allan Taylor to describe her as "inspiring" and state that "she even sings my songs better than me".
Stylistically, Flossie's repertoire is comparable with artistes such as Eva Cassidy, encompassing traditional and contemporary folk, lots of "old favourites", hints of jazz and even the occasional song in French.
